Recently, the 300000 Chinese toon seedlings we have cultivated have been completed and are about to be delivered. "On July 30th, Meng Fanwei, the head of Dazhi Angel Ecological Farm, was screening and inspecting the seedlings in a modern greenhouse at the College Student Agricultural Innovation Park located in Kandun Street, Cixi City, Ningbo.
In addition to the Chinese toon, ornamental plants such as American maple and hydrangea, as well as fruit seedlings such as strawberries and watermelons, are growing vigorously in the greenhouse. These seedlings are all cultivated using rapid propagation techniques through tissue culture. Meng Fanwei introduced that the seedlings cultivated through tissue culture have well-developed root systems, with a growth rate twice that of traditional methods such as cutting and grafting, and their characteristics are controllable, making them suitable for mass production.

After the seedlings are cultivated, they still need to go through two stages of domestication and refinement in the greenhouse. In the domestication greenhouse, modern intelligent equipment and facilities such as water purification system, integrated water and fertilizer system, groundwater circulation heating system, two fluid dry mist humidification system, supplementary light system, and IoT intelligent control and monitoring system ensure the most suitable growth environment for seedlings, greatly improving production efficiency.
While technology empowers modern agricultural production, it also brings higher added value. Just last year, the farm's cultivation of 2 million Yuling flower seedlings brought in a profit of 48 million yuan.
Da Zhi Angel Ecological Farm is a microcosm of the full exploration of high-quality and efficient agriculture by the College Student Agricultural Innovation Park. Here, modern agriculture is taking root and growing. At the Peninsula Flower Farm, Wang Xuewei, a farmer born in the 1980s, uses live broadcasts to bring new sales to flowers; At Yulan Fruit and Vegetable Farm, Hu Jingjin, a farmer born in the 1980s, has installed a "smart brain" on his glass greenhouse. He can remotely control it by simply tapping his phone while sitting at home

There are currently more than 50 farms in the College Student Agricultural Innovation Park, with 72% of them implementing digitalization, "said Zhou Guoyi, deputy director of the Kandun Street Office. These characteristic farms introduce new varieties, technologies, and models, and there are fresh fruit and vegetable suppliers throughout the year in the park. The average yield per mu exceeds 80000 yuan, which is 9 times that of general farmland.
The new agricultural technology with digital empowerment as its core is bringing a brand new transformation to rural revitalization. Since its establishment in 2016, the park has radiated and driven thousands of farmers in the surrounding areas by providing seedling cultivation, technical training, and guaranteed purchase, effectively promoting the transformation and upgrading of the agricultural industry, improving quality and efficiency, and promoting integrated development.
Every year, about 150-200 farmers receive technical training, and there are also many people from the surrounding areas who come to visit and learn from our park. Zhou Guoyi said that the park has initially formed an atmosphere of transforming traditional agriculture into technology-based agriculture and digital agriculture, and the efficiency of agriculture and the added value of agricultural products (6.690, -0.05, -0.74%) have also been improved.

On that day, the 2024 Rural Digital Literacy and Skills Enhancement Activity organized by the Cyberspace Administration of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee was held in the park. Farmer entrepreneur Min Chaohui and the farmers and entrepreneurs present discussed how digital intelligence can empower modern agriculture and inject "fresh water" into rural revitalization. Today, I learned a lot about the digital application scenarios and various parts of software and hardware in each link of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. I gained more information, which will be of great help to me in expanding production scale and adjusting industrial structure in the future. The on-site learning atmosphere is strong.
It is reported that in the next step, Kandun Street will continue to introduce good industries, new agricultural technologies, and agricultural talents. At the same time, some related supporting policies will be introduced. Through the combination of technology and talent, coupled with the drive of projects, efforts will be made to create a digital agriculture park that blooms everywhere, and to explore the path of high-quality and efficient agriculture, livable and business friendly rural areas, and prosperous and beautiful development for farmers.
